Day by day, with where you sleep and how far you walk.

We meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. The evening is yours to rest, and we sit down together to talk through the days ahead.

An easy day around the old city: the Monkey Temple on its hill, the great stupa at Boudhanath, and the carved squares of Patan. A gentle start before the mountains.

We leave the city behind and drive west into the hills, following rivers and terraced farms to the small town of Besisahar, where the circuit begins.

A rougher jeep road climbs north beside the Marshyangdi river to Chame, the district's main village, with the first close look at Annapurna II above the pines.

The first day on foot. A steady climb through forest past Bhratang and the great curved rock face before the valley opens out at Pisang, with its peak rising behind.

A high, scenic route through the old villages of Ghyaru and Ngawal, where the houses and prayer walls feel Tibetan, to the large village of Manang under the Annapurnas.

A day to let your body catch up with the height before going higher. An optional short climb to a viewpoint or the glacial lake earns big views, then back down to rest.

A shorter, higher day out of the trees and into open grazing country. Yaks graze the juniper slopes, and the air is noticeably thinner by the time you reach Yak Kharka.

A short walk up to the foot of the pass, taking it slowly to stay strong for tomorrow. Thorong Phedi is the last stop before the high point, so we settle in early and rest.

The big day, and an early cold start. A long, slow climb reaches the Thorong La, the trek's highest point, strung with prayer flags. Then a long drop down the far side to the temple town of Muktinath, sacred to Hindus and Buddhists alike.

After the pilgrims' water spouts at Muktinath, we drop into the dry, wind-carved Kali Gandaki valley and follow it down to Jomsom, an old trading town between the peaks.

A short, spectacular morning flight between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri giants down to the lakeside town of Pokhara. The rest of the day is yours to relax by the water.

A short flight or scenic drive returns you to Kathmandu, with the evening free for a farewell dinner and a last look around Thamel.

We take you to the airport for your flight home whenever it leaves.
The trail from start to finish, at a glance.

A look at the trail, the villages and the mountains.
Everything was handled for us from the moment we landed. Our guide read the group perfectly, slowed the pace when we needed it, and knew every village along the way. I never once worried about logistics.
We travelled as a couple and the small group made all the difference. Comfortable lodges, honest advice about the altitude, and a team who clearly loved the mountains. Booking on our own dates was easy.
You can tell this is run by people from here, not a call centre abroad. The itinerary had proper rest days built in, the food was better than I expected, and the whole thing ran to time.
We grade it Moderate to Strenuous. You reach about 5,416 m, so the main challenge is the height rather than technical climbing. Rest days are built in to help you adjust, and a good level of everyday fitness is enough to enjoy it. Tell us about your experience when you enquire and we will be honest about the fit.
The best time to go is Spring & autumn (Mar–May, Oct–Nov), when the weather is most settled and the views are clearest. We also run the trip outside these months on request, ask us and we will tell you what to expect.
Small. Many of our trips run for just one or two people, and we keep group sizes low so the pace stays yours and your guide has time for everyone. You can also book the whole trip privately.
A 30% deposit, about $449 on this trip, holds your place, and the rest is due before you travel. You can change your dates for free up to 60 days out.
Yes, and yes. All the national park fees and trekking permits for this route are arranged by us and included in the price. You just need a valid passport and a Nepal entry visa, which you get on arrival.
Every itinerary can be adjusted around your dates, your pace and how long you have. If you want extra rest days, a different start, or to add another region, tell us and we will build it around you.
